About the role
- Perform Customs business activities.
- Responsible for transactions with U.S. Customs concerning the entry and admissibility of merchandise.
- Conduct effective research and communicate with clients and CBP.
- Manage Customs entries and monitor clearance.
- Maintain required documents under 19 CFR 163.
- Verify classification and valuation with the importer when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and timely payment of duties, taxes, or other charges.
- Monitor and track customs clearances and resolve any delays or issues.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, customs brokers, and government agencies.
- Attend trainings and support the development and implementation of customs compliance procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Customs brokerage.
- U.S. Customs Brokerage License.
- Certification in customs compliance or a related area.
- Experience working with a variety of industries and commodities.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, processes, and documentation.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in customs declarations and record-keeping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience with ACE Secure Data Portal.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
