About the role

  • Achieves territory sales targets for the products Lundbeck promotes.
  • Implements the territory action plan — including field visits — established by the sales and marketing teams for each defined cycle.
  • Fully understands and promotes Lundbeck’s psychiatric products, whether licensed solely by Lundbeck or in partnership, to hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals, using approved promotional materials in an effective, professional and compliant manner.
  • In accordance with the sales force functional plan and guidance from the national manager, regularly develops and updates the territory business plan and implements key tactics to optimize growth opportunities and meet sales objectives.
  • Manages field activity budgets appropriately to reach target customers as effectively as possible and to maximize interaction efficiency.
  • Plans and executes tailored interactions in line with Lundbeck’s sales model to engage customers with portfolio solutions that meet their needs.
  • Through an account-management approach, stays informed about territory developments via customer interactions and adjusts tactics accordingly to drive growth.
  • Collaborates with sales team members and other cross-functional partners — including Marketing, Training, Commercial Effectiveness and Medical teams — to deliver tailored solutions and maximize the territory’s growth potential.
  • Effectively organizes CME programs and other learning activities focused on needs, in accordance with the current cycle action plan, and follows up to optimize outcomes.
  • Works closely with Medical Education and Medical Science Liaison teams to identify training opportunities and develop key opinion leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business administration
  • Minimum five (5) years of sales experience in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry and in the central nervous system (CNS) disease area
  • Ability to engage customers using scientific product data clearly, leveraging approved promotional tools and clinical trial evidence
  • Strong understanding of hospital operations and influence networks
  • Proven track record in a specialty market or account management
  • Experience promoting multiple products within specialized therapeutic areas
  • Strong commercial acumen and business analysis skills
  • Ability to manage bilingual communications effectively (English is required as this territory includes English-speaking customers)
  • Comfortable with technology (e.g., iPad, apps, CRM systems), including Microsoft software (Word, Excel, etc.) and virtual tools (Zoom, Teams)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license in Canada.
