About the role

  • The Manager, Commercial Forecasting and Assessments is an analytical, data-driven role.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality forecasts and profitability analyses that inform commercial and financial planning.
  • This role combines analytical rigor, financial modeling expertise and cross-functional collaboration to deliver forecasts, profitability analyses and commercial evaluations that support operational and investment decisions.
  • Forecast demand and revenue; develop and continuously improve short-, medium- and long-term forecasts.
  • Build scenario-based forecasts aligned with brand strategies and investment priorities.
  • Provide demand-level forecasts to support sales quota setting and financial planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, sciences or a related quantitative field is required.
  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in commercial forecasting, business analytics or commercial finance, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Proven expertise in developing and managing demand and revenue forecasts for marketed and pipeline products.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian pharmaceutical market dynamics, including the PMPRB and the pCPA (pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance).
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional collaborations with commercial, finance, market access and supply chain teams to align assumptions and integrate insights.
  • Experience developing financial profitability analyses, scenario modeling and long-term revenue forecasts that inform financial and operational planning.
  • Prior experience with gross-to-net (GTN) forecasting processes, accrual accounting and revenue management is an asset.
  • Experience in process improvement and governance, with the ability to establish structured forecasting frameworks and operational rhythms.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex modeling, scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
  • Familiarity with forecasting software is a significant asset.
  • Good understanding of patient-based forecasting models, epidemiological modeling and probabilistic forecasting techniques (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations).
