About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee the design, delivery and continuous improvement of accounting functions
Ensure accurate financial reporting from subsidiaries and investments in accordance with GAAP
Supervise and manage a diverse staff
Preparation of complex monthly consolidated financial statements
Ensure strong internal controls, efficient and documented workflow process, and compliance with laws and regulations
Assist leadership in implementing corporate goals, policies, priorities and procedures
Lead process standardization to create an effective and efficient shared services accounting team
Provide technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to all CIRI entities
Research, analyze and report on changes in GAAP
Oversee the annual financial audits of CIRI, its subsidiaries, and other audits
Provide leadership and management for a variety of ad hoc initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
10 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, 5 of which must be public accounting and include complex consolidations
Three years supervisory experience required
CPA designation required
Experience in government contract accounting, with a large-scale organization
Alaska Native Corporation experience strongly preferred
Ability to pass a background screening
Ability to obtain a US government national security clearance at the Secret level
Ability to travel; estimated travel is up to 6 weeks annually
