About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the design, delivery and continuous improvement of accounting functions
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting from subsidiaries and investments in accordance with GAAP
  • Supervise and manage a diverse staff
  • Preparation of complex monthly consolidated financial statements
  • Ensure strong internal controls, efficient and documented workflow process, and compliance with laws and regulations
  • Assist leadership in implementing corporate goals, policies, priorities and procedures
  • Lead process standardization to create an effective and efficient shared services accounting team
  • Provide technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to all CIRI entities
  • Research, analyze and report on changes in GAAP
  • Oversee the annual financial audits of CIRI, its subsidiaries, and other audits
  • Provide leadership and management for a variety of ad hoc initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 10 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, 5 of which must be public accounting and include complex consolidations
  • Three years supervisory experience required
  • CPA designation required
  • Experience in government contract accounting, with a large-scale organization
  • Alaska Native Corporation experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to pass a background screening
  • Ability to obtain a US government national security clearance at the Secret level
  • Ability to travel; estimated travel is up to 6 weeks annually
