About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the design, delivery and continuous improvement of accounting functions
- Ensure accurate financial reporting from subsidiaries and investments in accordance with GAAP
- Supervise and manage a diverse staff
- Preparation of complex monthly consolidated financial statements
- Ensure strong internal controls, efficient and documented workflow process, and compliance with laws and regulations
- Assist leadership in implementing corporate goals, policies, priorities and procedures
- Lead process standardization to create an effective and efficient shared services accounting team
- Provide technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to all CIRI entities
- Research, analyze and report on changes in GAAP
- Oversee the annual financial audits of CIRI, its subsidiaries, and other audits
- Provide leadership and management for a variety of ad hoc initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 10 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, 5 of which must be public accounting and include complex consolidations
- Three years supervisory experience required
- CPA designation required
- Experience in government contract accounting, with a large-scale organization
- Alaska Native Corporation experience strongly preferred
- Ability to pass a background screening
- Ability to obtain a US government national security clearance at the Secret level
- Ability to travel; estimated travel is up to 6 weeks annually
