About the role
- Work on web content projects to update and regionalize corporate messaging across our sites.
- Use WordPress to make small updates and collaborate with web designers to make larger updates.
- Participate in requirements gathering, brainstorming, and planning for content and functionality for websites.
- Collaborate with creative team members and subject matter experts to ensure web best practices are being followed.
- Focus on an independent project to improve sections of our websites by collaborating with team members and subject matter experts across departments and locations to audit existing content, explore customer listening channel research, and make recommendations for UX improvements.
- Use good documentation practices to maintain projects in project management systems such as Workfront.
- Other general tasks as necessary.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, English, Media, Communications or a related field.
- Basic understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with Web Content Management Systems (CMS) tools (e.g., WordPress, Sanity, etc.) is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong English writing skills are a must.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- All candidates should have an interest in a career in the Life Sciences field, a willingness to take initiative, and an ability to work well with others.
- Candidates should be students entering their Junior or Senior year the following fall semester or entering graduate school; candidates who graduate the spring semester before this internship are also eligible.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- All candidates must provide proof of enrollment (including pre-registration certification for the following fall) for consideration.
