About the role

  • As a Working Student in Graphic Design, you are an integral part of our marketing team and help elevate our visual presence for both our company and our clients.
  • You support the creative, trend-aware and platform-appropriate production of digital content — from social media and campaigns to motion/video formats.
  • You assist with image sourcing and handle editing, retouching, color grading and cropping to web-optimized standards to present our visual assets perfectly.
  • You work with generative AI tools as a regular part of your design process to create unique visual content.
  • You develop prompts, test new tools and help advance AI workflows in design.
  • You actively contribute to exciting projects and support the team in day-to-day operations — no two days are the same.
  • You turn briefs into finished creatives, identify trending social media formats and translate them into initial visual concepts that excite our target audiences.
  • You gain first insights into motion content by creating Reels, editing videos and adding subtitles to give the content that extra touch.

Requirements

  • You are enrolled for at least two more semesters in a creative field such as Graphic, Communication or Media Design (or a comparable program) and can work 16–20 hours per week.
  • Ideally, you have already gained initial practical experience in digital graphic design (e.g., through university projects, internships or previous working student roles) and have been exposed to social media design, video editing, AI image generation and/or image editing.
  • You have used Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or Canva.
  • Initial experience with Midjourney or another generative AI is a plus — what matters most to us is your willingness to learn and curiosity.
  • You have a good eye for visual trends and digital platforms, understand the importance of style guides and implement visual concepts with a confident style.
  • You enjoy working in a team, are hands-on, take responsibility and carry out operational tasks independently and reliably.
Benefits
  • Maximum flexibility: your working hours fit your studies and you can choose to work from the Cologne office or occasionally remotely from home or abroad.
  • Trust and growth: you are part of the team — we value personal responsibility and provide regular feedback so you can develop and gain hands-on experience.
  • More than rest: 27 days of vacation so your private life has enough room.
  • Work "op Kölsch": our industrial office in Cologne-Ehrenfeld is a place for exchange and creativity — and for our legendary summer and Christmas parties.
  • Perks include a discounted Urban Sports Club membership, Corporate Benefits, a free snack bar and other small extras that make everyday life better.
