About the role
- Support the IT Director by planning and leading implementation of UI graphic design for Convey365 products and services
- Design high-quality, reusable UI components (buttons, icons, forms, layouts) for Portal and CMS Web Apps
- Develop standardised colour schemes, typography, and design templates following Accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Collaborate with developers and senior stakeholders to translate user requirements into user-centric designs
- Ensure designs adhere to Convey365 brand guidelines
- Build and iterate on prototypes (mockups, example screens, responsive interfaces) to demonstrate concepts and gather feedback
- Incorporate feedback from reviews and user testing to refine designs
- Work on improvements to existing videos and produce new videos to support systems (video editing desirable)
- Manage own work allocation, productivity, and quality with minimum supervision
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in UI graphic design of comparable size and variety of Web Apps
- Proficiency in authoring tools such as Figma, Canva, and/or similar tools
- Video editing skills desirable (Adobe Premiere, Synthesia)
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to design
- Experience working with development teams to improve user experience, refine content, create visuals and diagrams for technical support
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
- Proficient in MS Office Apps such as Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
- Ability to build and maintain working relationships and be approachable
- Good time management and flexible approach to work
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work on a hybrid basis, coming into the Newport office once a week or more as projects dictate
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI design work; candidates may be asked to redesign a Web App screen at interview
