About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manages all aspects of assigned projects (typically valued up to $5M) from award through completion, including site management, budgeting, scheduling, and execution
Serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborates with local Convergint Project Managers, Customers, and Program Managers to align on project goals and support execution
Develops and manages project installation plans in coordination with local teams
Maintains accurate records of job status, material flow, change orders, and other documentation to support internal and external reporting
Identifies project risks and implements strategies to mitigate them
Oversees project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
Regularly communicates project progress, schedules, and changes to stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, electronic security systems and AV systems)
Coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; solid leadership orientation
Team leadership, team building and facilitation skills
Strong analytical skills necessary to resolve problems and look for solutions; solid conflict resolution skills
Financial analytical skills including cost control
Basic Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills
Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principles
College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
Minimum 10 years relevant engineering, field service or project management experience
