About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manages all aspects of assigned projects (typically valued up to $5M) from award through completion, including site management, budgeting, scheduling, and execution
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborates with local Convergint Project Managers, Customers, and Program Managers to align on project goals and support execution
  • Develops and manages project installation plans in coordination with local teams
  • Maintains accurate records of job status, material flow, change orders, and other documentation to support internal and external reporting
  • Identifies project risks and implements strategies to mitigate them
  • Oversees project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
  • Regularly communicates project progress, schedules, and changes to stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, electronic security systems and AV systems)
  • Coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; solid leadership orientation
  • Team leadership, team building and facilitation skills
  • Strong analytical skills necessary to resolve problems and look for solutions; solid conflict resolution skills
  • Financial analytical skills including cost control
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principles
  • College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 10 years relevant engineering, field service or project management experience
