About the role
- Manages all aspects of assigned projects (typically valued up to $1M) from award through completion
- Serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborates with local Convergint Project Managers, Customers, and Program Managers to align on project goals and support execution
- Develops and manages project installation plans in coordination with local teams
- Maintains accurate records of job status, material flow, change orders, and other documentation
- Identifies project risks and implements strategies to mitigate them
- Partners with technical subject matter experts to create necessary project documentation
- Oversees project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
- Regularly communicates project progress, schedules, and changes to stakeholders
- Ensures compliance with scope of work, delivery standards, quality control, and customer-specific requirements
- Acts as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times
Requirements
- Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, electronic security systems and AV systems)
- Coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; solid leadership orientation
- Team leadership, team building and facilitation skills
- Shows initiative – engages in proactive behavior and looks for opportunities
- Adaptable – responds effectively to changes in situation or information
- Strong analytical skills necessary to resolve problems and look for solutions
- Financial analytical skills including cost control
- Basic ability to facilitate a collaborative working environment for customers and team members
- Basic Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills
- Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principles
