About the role
- Responsible for the design, governance, administration, and optimization of sales incentive programs
- Partner closely with Sales, Finance, HR, and Executive Leadership to create scalable, data-driven incentive plans
- Lead the development and ongoing refinement of sales incentive and compensation programs
- Own the governance framework for sales incentive plans including documentation, approvals, controls, and change management
- Design and maintain tracking, reporting, and analytics for sales incentive data capture, payout accuracy, and ROI
- Act as a strategic advisor to Sales/Finance leadership on incentive plan effectiveness
- Benchmark incentive programs against industry best practices and market trends
- Identify opportunities to simplify plans, improve clarity, and enhance colleague understanding and engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Economics, or a related field
- 8–12+ years of experience in sales compensation, incentive design, total rewards, or related roles
- Proven experience designing and managing complex sales incentive programs in a growth-oriented organization
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and influence across functions
- Experience working with HRIS, sales compensation, or incentive management systems (Workday, Xactly)
- Strong communications skills to bring sales teams up to speed on changes in incentive plans and their impact
- Background in finance, analytics, or consulting related to sales performance or rewards.
