About the role
- Lead the end-to-end management of the data platform, from ingestion to modeling and analytics delivery
- Build robust integration pipelines connecting underwriting, claims, actuarial modeling, and external cyber data feeds
- Partner with engineering, risk, and operations teams to define data models that align with business needs
- Implement and oversee data governance, lineage, and compliance standards (GDPR, SOC2, insurance regulations)
- Enable business intelligence, predictive modeling, and risk insights by maintaining reliable data marts and semantic layers
- Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering best practices in cloud-native and DevOps-oriented data delivery
Requirements
- 7+ years in data engineering, platform management, or analytics leadership
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data stacks (AWS preferred, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
- Strong GraphQL, Python, Data Analysis and ETL pipeline development skills
- Proven background in data governance within regulated industries
- Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (engineering, underwriting, claims, actuarial)
- Bonus: experience with cyber insurance, risk analytics, or external cyber data sources (CVE, threat intelligence)
