About the role
- Achieve sales and margin targets for defined customers in the retail/trade and homecare sectors
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with specialist retailers, homecare companies and other professional wound care providers
- Business development – acquire new customers, expand new sales channels, especially online retail, and explore strategic partnerships
- Negotiate framework agreements, listings and terms in collaboration with management and purchasing teams of retail partners
- Create customer development plans and ensure achievement of targets
- Conduct strategic annual discussions with managing directors in the retail sector
- Deliver presentations to customers and at internal meetings
- Perform market and competitor analyses and derive actions to increase market penetration
- Further develop strategies and activities in the retail/trade area
- Collaborate with marketing, e.g., designing customer activities, product launches, and portfolio optimization
- Collaborate with Market Access and reimbursement management
Requirements
- Several years of proven success in Key Account Management, ideally in medical device retail
- Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Strategic thinker with strong conceptual skills
- Extensive negotiation experience and well-established contacts with managing directors
- Solid knowledge of the German healthcare system (e.g., reimbursement)
- Excellent understanding of business and financial interrelations
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent German and English, spoken and written
- High willingness to travel and stay overnight is required
