About the role
- Own the release calendar and coordinate release timelines with engineering, product, QA and Devops.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all release-related communication.
- Ensure effective communication to customers pre and post releases.
- Oversee DevOps team to manage releases through all environments (Dev → QA → UAT → Staging → Production).
- Ensure deployment processes (CI/CD pipelines, runbooks, rollback strategies) are followed consistently.
- Oversee production deployments, including go/no-go decisions and post-release monitoring.
- Plan and manage staged rollouts (pilot tenants → phased rollout → global release).
- Coordinate feature flags and tenant-specific deployment requirements.
- Ensure clear communication with customer-facing teams on release impact and timelines.
- Track and report release KPIs (deployment frequency, change failure rate, MTTR).
- Drive process improvements to increase release reliability and speed.
- Conduct release retrospectives and implement best practices.
- Plan releases by coordinating with multiple stake-holders.
- Own and track the release plans.
Requirements
- Overall 12+ years of experience
- 8-10 years of experience in Release Management is needed with experience in managing releases of multiple SaaS product lines.
- Familiarity with Devops deployments CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
- Understanding of deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling).
- Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (App Insights).
- Comfortable working with engineers to troubleshoot pipeline or release issues.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum, ITIL change management, and release governance.
- Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, organizational and project management(monitoring and tracking) skills.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS environments, feature flags, and enterprise customer coordination will be an added advantage.
