About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure compliance with local and federal safety and environmental regulations
- Manage service providers for O&M, LTSA, SCADA, potentially construction
- Oversee Preventative and Corrective Maintenance of O&M Contractors
- Monitor plant performance to ensure operational excellence and compliance
- Communicate site issues and generate periodic operational reports for leadership
- Develop and implement industry leading standards and programs for site performance
- Coordinate with Business Development, Finance, and Valuations teams for operational budgets
- Identify critical spare parts for future projects and analyze failure rates at existing sites
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Energy) or demonstrated professional experience & aptitude
- 7+ years of experience in Renewable Energy, preferably focused on operations, asset management, and/or commissioning.
- Occasional travel to renewable sites for commissioning oversight and critical operational needs.
- Demonstrate critical thinking in understanding and resolving technical operational issues
- Utilize and analyze site data to influence decisions for long term operational benefit
- Thoroughly understand PPA, IA, LTSA, and EPC contracts.
- Ability to manage contractors and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A working knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Ability to manage many projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Ability to develop and maintain operational programs for existing and new sites.
- Work with the Engineering and Construction organization for successful project completion.
