About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal safety and environmental regulations
  • Manage service providers for O&M, LTSA, SCADA, potentially construction
  • Oversee Preventative and Corrective Maintenance of O&M Contractors
  • Monitor plant performance to ensure operational excellence and compliance
  • Communicate site issues and generate periodic operational reports for leadership
  • Develop and implement industry leading standards and programs for site performance
  • Coordinate with Business Development, Finance, and Valuations teams for operational budgets
  • Identify critical spare parts for future projects and analyze failure rates at existing sites

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Energy) or demonstrated professional experience & aptitude
  • 7+ years of experience in Renewable Energy, preferably focused on operations, asset management, and/or commissioning.
  • Occasional travel to renewable sites for commissioning oversight and critical operational needs.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking in understanding and resolving technical operational issues
  • Utilize and analyze site data to influence decisions for long term operational benefit
  • Thoroughly understand PPA, IA, LTSA, and EPC contracts.
  • Ability to manage contractors and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A working knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Ability to manage many projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to develop and maintain operational programs for existing and new sites.
  • Work with the Engineering and Construction organization for successful project completion.
