About the role
- Manage the construction (back office and site)
- Ensure the implementation and compliance of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Coordinate with the PMO, Contract Managers, and relevant support functions for project activities
- Monitor the General Contractor’s and subcontractors’ adherence to health and safety policies
- Hold regular performance meetings with the on-site construction team
- Supervise the Site Manager and manage the General Contractor relationship
- Prepare and submit periodic reports to Senior Management
- Assist in developing contingency plans for project costs and schedule slippage
- Control project scope and scheduling
- Ensure environmental compliance during construction
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
- A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, NEBOSH, Lean Construction) is a plus
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in energy, infrastructure, or large-scale industrial projects
- Proven experience managing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects
- Experience with General Contractors and subcontractor management
- Demonstrated experience ensuring HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality) compliance in complex projects
- Strong leadership and people management skills, capable of leading on-site teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities
