About the role
- Provide community engagement regional support to a network of local teams
- Support local and regional teams across the operational lifecycle (from M&A through construction, into operations, closure, and divestment)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, indigenous groups, public institutions, and other regional stakeholders
- Stakeholder mapping, field diagnostics, and regular community perception assessments
- Development and implementation of risk management processes, including risk registers to track and assess risks and controls
- Monitor the ever-changing regulatory climate in the countries which CG operates
- Develop training materials to raise community management awareness and sustainability practices
- Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for both internal and external audiences
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Social Performance Management, Community Relations, or a related discipline
- A professional designation such as Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional (CCIP™), Certified Community Manager (CCM), or in a related field is preferred
- 5-8 years of recent and related experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, or social performance roles in an industrial sector
- Strong presentation preparation and computer skills, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Power BI
- Experience with community engagement tracking platforms
- Ability to work collaboratively, cross-functionally, and under pressure
- Appreciation and respect for different cultures and perspectives
