About the role
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including month end journal entries, account reconciliations, and thorough financial statement line-item level review and variance analysis.
- Assist in tracking key metrics such as waste, shrinkage, and product margin performance.
- Support and maintain data warehouse integrity by validating financial and operational sub-system data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting outputs.
- Verify and validate key system inputs, including tax jurisdictions and commission structures, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to cash (vault services), inventory, and financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze payroll expenses, including direct and indirect labor, to ensure accuracy, cost control, and alignment with budget.
- Support future ERP implementation and integrations functions from all divisional capacities.
- Partner with Integrations Controller with onboarding and integration of new locations or acquisitions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience.
- Experience in vending, micro-markets, route-based distribution, retail, or CPG is a plus.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and basic internal controls.
- Exemplary in Excel and familiarity with various ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
