About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
Responsible for month-end closing; journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and supporting schedules for financial statements preparation
Maintain responsibility for the general ledger reconciliation policy and procedures
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Prepare technical U.S. GAAP analysis, including researching U.S. GAAP
Manage and audit the work of the accounting staff and assist in performance management
Prepare investor reporting, debt covenant reporting, and management reporting
Review accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and monitor the company’s cash flow
Act as the external financial statement audit liaison by preparing, responding, and analyzing financial statement audit requests
Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Minimum of 3 years management required
Minimum of 7 years progressive accounting experience in public accounting or similar work environment
Technical and comprehensive knowledge of all finance, financial planning, accounting and tax areas of a business including an excellent understanding of GAAP
Strong leadership and proven supervisory skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, and advanced Excel)
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management
Prior credit card or financial services experience a plus.
