About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify, pursue, and develop new customer relationships in the Detroit and Maumee markets
Meet with clients, attend site visits, and represent Conti LLC at customer dinners and industry events
Serve as the primary point of contact through the full sales cycle from initial outreach through project award
Maintain organized, professional follow-up and communication—written and verbal
Build long-term relationships with owners, engineers, facility managers, and general contractors
Generate quotes and proposals for controls automation projects ranging from smaller one-off service work up to $20M+ large-scale projects
Perform material takeoffs and scope reviews using Bluebeam and Excel-based estimating templates
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents accurately
Collaborate with the internal team to ensure estimates reflect scope, budget, and project requirements
Maintain clear paper trails and documentation throughout the estimating and proposal process

Requirements

What you’ll need

2–5 years of experience in controls automation, HVAC, building automation, or a related field—estimating experience is strongly preferred
Background in controls, automation, or manufacturing environments is highly relevant
Proficient in Bluebeam and Excel; ability to work within provided estimating templates
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and specifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills—this role requires polished, professional client-facing interaction as well as the ability to produce well-organized written correspondence and proposals
Self-motivated and able to manage a remote work schedule with accountability and independence
Comfortable working across a diverse project portfolio including data centers, commercial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, municipalities, and mixed-use
Bringing an existing book of business is a plus but is not required
