About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data analysis and reporting solutions for business intelligence, reporting, visualization, and analysis
  • Support internal and external customers with data analysis and reporting, including data validation and in-depth source-data analysis
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise data management solutions
  • Develop expert knowledge of internal enterprise data sources
  • Transform data through standardization, normalization, de-duplication, filtering, projection, and aggregation
  • Extract data from enterprise sources for automated consumption data flows
  • Research and evaluate data analysis methodologies, technologies, and tools and recommend implementations
  • Prepare and present data analysis findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with data producers, consumers, and subject matter experts to support organizational data dissemination and flow
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in data-related positions with increasing responsibility and scope
  • 5+ years of experience working with relational databases
  • 4+ years of experience working with analytical data workloads
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in a data-related field such as Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, or Engineering
  • Experience with relational and non-relational data storage models, schemas, and structures in data lakes and warehouses
  • Hands-on experience extracting data using analysis tools and programming languages, specifically Python and SQL
  • Ability to analyze clinical, claims, social determinants of health, financial, and operational data
  • Experience implementing data analysis and reporting solutions using industry standards and best practices
  • Production data processing experience with terabyte-sized structured and unstructured datasets
  • Required libraries: PyData stack
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and Snowflake
  • Knowledge of data partitioning, parallelization, data flow optimization, SQL query planning, and query optimization
  • Experience with varied file types, encodings, formats, and standards
  • Knowledge of Secure Software Development Lifecycle, version control, and release management
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, FHIR, and CDA
  • Knowledge of healthcare clinical code sets including LOINC, SNOMED, CPT, and ICD-10
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management disciplines
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into actionable execution tasks
  • Ability to meet strict service level agreement performance requirements in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including OneDrive, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to handle sensitive information including PHI and PII in compliance with applicable laws and policies
  • Ability to periodically drive to clients, conferences, and/or events; limited travel may be required
