About the role

  • Lead large scale projects involving complex systems and leading edge technologies
  • Design efficient, data-intensive backend services to collect and process petabytes of data
  • Redesign and unify inherited data pipelines for streamlined architecture
  • Investigate, debug, and optimize system behavior across various dimensions as data volumes grow
  • Develop innovative data formats and exchange mechanisms optimizing functionality
  • Share knowledge and mentor fellow engineers
  • Contribute to the evolution of the primary data pipeline addressing growing data volumes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment

Requirements

  • You are a mid-level or senior engineer (6+ years of experience).
  • Strong fundamentals in computer science and software engineering (data structures, concurrency, memory management, performance).
  • Experience with dynamic complex systems in a rich ecosystem with many integrations.
  • Hands-on experience tackling large-scale, high-volume systems, understanding trade-offs required to make systems scale reliably.
  • Knowledge of production quality (testing, monitoring, logging, observability) in data-intensive systems.
  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and comfort writing infrastructure as code.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a flat team structure and proactively contribute to solving technical challenges.
  • Nice to have:
  • Proficiency in Go and/or Scala
  • Experience with ClickHouse and/or SingleStore
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience using Kafka
