About the role
- Investigate and resolve customer issues on our cloud platform, acting as a technical expert for our support team
- Work with our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Support teams to quickly respond to critical customer issues with the right level of urgency
- Define and enhance the workflows and processes used by the CRE and SRE teams to improve collaboration and communication with our customer support teams
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve the tools and capabilities we use to address customer issues
- Participate in planning discussions to identify and address areas for platform improvement
- Help lead and coordinate the CRE function within the region, ensuring we consistently meet customer expectations
- Act as a bridge between customers, support teams, and core engineering teams to ensure the global cloud platform runs smoothly and efficiently
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker
- Experience with orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes
- Experience with programming languages
- Proven experience in defining and implementing automation
- Experience using Git in a team environment (pull requests, branching, etc.)
- Experience with scalable, distributed systems architecture (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of networking, including routing, security, and performance (preferred)
- Experience with the Go programming language (preferred)
- A strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) (preferred)
- Experience with the instrumentation and management of automated deployments (preferred)
- Experience in resolving customer deployment issues (preferred)
