About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and execute small- and medium-scale audiovisual productions from the initial brief through final delivery.
  • Translate creative concepts and client requirements into clear production plans, timelines, technical needs, and shooting schedules.
  • Ensure that all audiovisual pieces meet the agency’s technical, visual, narrative, and brand-quality standards.
  • Operate a camera directly for smaller productions, including interviews, social media content, branded capsules, event coverage, product shoots, and internal content.
  • Define framing, basic camera movement, lighting requirements, and visual criteria during streamlined shoots.
  • Direct talent, interviewees, and small technical crews during production.
  • Manage preproduction activities, including schedules, call sheets, locations, equipment, talent coordination, permits, and production logistics.
  • Identify the appropriate equipment, locations, technical resources, and production partners for each project’s level of complexity.
  • Coordinate freelancers, camera operators, technical talent, vendors, and other production partners when additional support is required.
  • Monitor production timelines and ensure that filming and delivery milestones are completed as planned.
  • Manage available resources efficiently while maintaining quality and protecting project profitability.
  • Anticipate and resolve production challenges in the field with sound judgment, adaptability, and professionalism.
  • Organize, label, and deliver recorded materials properly to support an efficient postproduction process.
  • Create simple edits, preliminary cuts, or basic audiovisual pieces when the project requires it and the production timeline allows.
  • Collaborate closely with Creative, Art, Accounts, Strategy, Project Management, and Postproduction teams to align creative expectations with production realities.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams regarding progress, risks, changes, and production requirements.
  • Identify when a project exceeds the defined level of complexity and escalate it promptly to the Audiovisual General Producer or Head of Production.
  • Ensure that production activities comply with approved budgets, schedules, technical requirements, and client commitments.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with production vendors, technical specialists, locations, and freelance talent.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-oriented, and accountable production culture.
  • Represent and live Contáctica’s values in every interaction with clients, teams, talent, vendors, and production partners.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience as a Video Producer, Field Producer, Content Producer, Audiovisual Producer, or in a comparable production role.
  • Hands-on experience coordinating small- and medium-scale audiovisual productions from preproduction through final delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate professional or prosumer cameras independently.
  • Strong understanding of framing, camera movement, basic lighting, sound capture, and audiovisual storytelling.
  • Experience producing interviews, social media content, branded videos, event coverage, product content, corporate pieces, or similar formats.
  • Ability to direct talent, interviewees, and small production crews in the field.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, including experience preparing production schedules, call sheets, equipment lists, and logistical plans.
  • Ability to translate creative briefs into practical and executable production plans.
  • Experience coordinating freelancers, technical specialists, production vendors, and external partners.
  • Strong ability to manage timelines, priorities, and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resourceful and adaptable approach to resolving production challenges with limited time, equipment, or personnel.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical and narrative quality.
  • Basic video editing capabilities are highly valued but not required.
  • Familiarity with video editing platforms such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of file management, media organization, production workflows, and postproduction handoffs.
  • Ability to manage production resources and budgets responsibly.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional and service-oriented approach when working with clients, talent, internal teams, and suppliers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Production, Film, Communications, Media, Advertising, or a related field is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Professional English communication skills are highly valued.
