About the role

  • Take ownership of Contabo’s entire organic growth strategy: classic SEO, technical optimization, AI-driven search (GEO)
  • Audit current SEO performance and presence in AI-driven search engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini)
  • Develop strategy combining E-E-A-T with new search environment requirements
  • Set up monitoring frameworks and AI rank-tracking tools to measure visibility and brand sentiment
  • Build scalable content programs and run Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) experiments
  • Establish processes that improve AI answers and organic rankings across international markets
  • Leverage automation tools like n8n or Make and set up dashboards with GA4 and Looker
  • Share insights with all relevant stakeholders and build reusable playbooks for international markets
  • Drive traffic, sign-ups, and trust to lower CAC and fuel growth

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of experience in SEO/Organic Growth with proven results
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in AI Search / Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
  • Strong technical SEO skills: crawling, indexation, sitemaps, page speed, hreflang, internal linking
  • Solid experience with Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Surfer, Yoast
  • Proficiency with GA4, Looker, and data analysis (including traffic segmentation, dashboards)
  • Excellent English skills (written and spoken); German is a plus
  • Ability to translate complex SEO/GEO concepts into clear business impact
  • Background in international SEO across multiple markets
  • Experience in Cloud Hosting, SaaS, Developer Tools, or Tech (B2C/B2B) (should-have)
  • Practical use of AI SEO tools (Semrush AIO, AI Rank Tracker) (should-have)
  • Knowledge of Schema Markup, Voice Search Optimization, and E-E-A-T implementation (should-have)
  • Initial experience with automation tools such as n8n or Make (should-have)
  • Knowledge of SQL basics, Zapier, Airtable, or similar tools (nice-to-have)
  • Additional language skills (e.g. German) (nice-to-have)
