Brand Strategist, Product Marketing

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead strategic thinking on both fronts: brand platform (positioning, narrative, category, ambition) and go-to-market product strategy (GTM, product positioning, value messaging)
- Build and advocate Conta Simples’ positioning strategy: by segment, by product, and by market moment
- Translate strategic ambition into actionable direction for the execution team (Brand Creative Lead, Design Lead, Comms Lead). Deliver the rationale that supports the craft, not a vague brief
- Run audience, market and competitor research, and turn findings into brand and GTM decisions
- Act as the strategic bridge between brand, product and sales: the seller-facing narrative, the argument that opens accounts — the winning pitch will be born from your thinking
- Define hypotheses, metrics and interpretation for every strategic move, and close the loop
- Operate and refine the AI strategy stack as a system of thinking
- Act as the strategic craft partner to the Head of Brand
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience combining brand strategy and product marketing / product strategy — ideally with real, hands-on experience on both sides, not only one
- A mixed agency + in-house background is the ideal scenario
- Track record of positioning and GTM initiatives that were executed and moved metrics (with a practical case to defend)
- Experience in fintech, B2B digital products or financial markets is a relevant differential
- Brand thinking: positioning, narrative architecture, category strategy, long-term brand building
- Product and GTM thinking: segmentation, product positioning, value messaging, adoption metrics
- Research capability (audience, market, competition) and ability to turn insight into decisions
- Strong writing and presentation skills: strategic rationale that convinces on paper and live
- Experience operating generative AI as a thinking tool
- Business acumen: understands the engine, sales cycle and product before opining
