About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and provide technical support to field personnel and contractors for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of system components
Research and prepare estimates, material requisitions, specifications, and drawings for internally designed projects
Make authoritative recommendations to troubleshoot complex technical problems involving electrical equipment and systems
Serve as lead engineer on design projects by checking contractor-submitted designs, issuing approved projects for construction, and participating in conceptual designs and layouts
Create designs for substation installations, protective relaying systems, relay settings, and SCADA systems
Review and approve designs created by Engineers and Associate Engineers
Collaborate with engineers and departments on consulting, project management, resource organization, and maintenance
Generate internal and external reports on facets of the transmission system
Attend meetings and training sessions to increase professional knowledge and skills
Provide technical guidance related to electric facility design, installation, testing, and troubleshooting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
ITC does not sponsor employment visas, including H-1B or TN visas
Expertise in substation installations, protective relaying systems, relay settings, and SCADA systems
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical equipment and system problems
Ability to prepare estimates, material requisitions, specifications, and engineering drawings
Ability to review and approve designs created by Engineers and Associate Engineers
Ability to provide technical guidance on electric facility design, installation, testing, and troubleshooting
