About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently develop website architecture for small to mid-sized projects
- Deploy and author code for cloud infrastructure and software components on the Azure platform
- Design and implement moderately complex user interactions on web pages
- Develop and optimize back-end website applications with minimal supervision
- Create and manage databases to support application functionality
- Ensure cross-platform optimization and application responsiveness
- Lead small projects through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Design and develop basic APIs and support their integrations
- Participate in team discussions, sprint planning, and story refinement sessions
- Document technical solutions, implementations, and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure adequate test coverage
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Mentor and support Software Engineer I team members
- Guide user stories through SDLC phases with oversight
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as C# or Java
- Strong experience with front-end technologies and frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Working knowledge of server-side languages such as Python, .NET, or JavaScript
- Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies (e.g., MSSQL, Cosmos DB)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities
- Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours, if needed, to meet the job requirements
- Employees must provide their own reliable internet if working a remote/hybrid position
