About the role

  • CDI seeks a Product Lead to drive vision, roadmap, and execution of our e-learning platform.
  • Own the technical vision, strategy, and execution; develop product roadmap; ensure scalability, security, and accessibility.
  • While initial focus will be Perspectives, you’ll also drive technical innovation across CDI’s full suite of offerings, using emerging technologies (including AI) to expand impact, efficiency, and scale.
  • You’ll serve as a player-coach: managing one Product Specialist, while partnering closely with an external development agency to deliver high-quality releases on time and on budget.
  • Responsibilities: Executive Director’s technical thought partner; stay current on EdTech/AI trends; lead technical strategy for scalability, security, accessibility, responsible AI; translate product priorities into a clear technical roadmap; set and track OKRs and KPIs; product health & scalability; prototype AI-powered features; ensure privacy, security, and accessibility compliance; cross-functional collaboration with Education, Implementation, Partnerships, and Operations; manage vendor relationships; budgets; agile rituals; etc.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of B2B SaaS product management experience, including 3+ years leading or mentoring other product team members.
  • Experience in EdTech or a related field, with knowledge of data privacy/security and accessibility requirements; higher ed compliance experience preferred.
  • Proven success delivering products on a modular platform or third-party LMS.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-driven products; LLM experience strongly preferred.
  • Skilled in product discovery and learning methods, including A/B testing, user research, and analytics.
  • Track record of successfully managing budgets, vendor contracts, and delivery schedules.
  • Strong communicator, able to translate technical complexity for executives, developers, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deeply aligned with CDI’s mission and excited to help bridge divides and promote constructive dialogue.
  • Experience in startup or scaleup environments, comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous contexts.
