About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support internal and external EMS/EHS audits and EHS tours, inspections, and assessments
  • Collect, analyze, and assess trend data to identify EHS issues and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Develop and deliver EHS training to relevant Constellium employees, including environmental tasks and procedures
  • Assist with closing 8Ds and corrective and preventative actions
  • Ensure Contained Hazards and EHS internal audit action items are closed or progressing
  • Analyze energy usage to determine possible reductions
  • Implement sustainable recycling programs
  • Assist the EHS team and plant management with tasks aimed at mitigating production-floor risks
  • Maintain and train Constellium operating systems related to personnel health and safety and the environment
  • Improve the ISO 14001:2015-certified environmental program and help achieve and maintain the ISO 45001 management system
  • Write procedures aligned with facility processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be pursuing a degree or be within one year of graduation
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Excel experience is required
  • Ability to work autonomously after receiving sufficient instruction
  • Good organizational skills and ability to assess priorities
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Ability to remain on feet for long periods while wearing required personal protective equipment
  • Must complete a background check, drug screen, and physical before starting employment
  • Must provide a transcript at the beginning of each new work term or semester
