About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Technical consulting and central technical contact for demanding customers in high‑tech, future-oriented industries
Evaluation of new and complex customer inquiries with respect to technical feasibility and economic viability
Technical support from the design and concept phase through to series production
Development of technically and economically optimal manufacturing strategies, including make-or-buy decisions
Management of technical coordination between Sales, Production, Procurement, Quality and Research & Development
Assuming final technical responsibility for complex products and assemblies
Coordination of internal and external technical interfaces to ensure well‑founded decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed education or degree in Mechanical Engineering (e.g., HTL, FH or TU)
Several years of professional experience in design engineering, product development or special machine/plant construction
Practical experience in engineering design, manufacturing or joining technology
Solid understanding of tolerances and technical feasibility
Experience in project management or technical leadership of interdisciplinary teams
Very good CAD skills
Experience with PDM, PLM or ERP systems
Structured, analytical and solution‑oriented way of working
Strong logical reasoning skills
High level of personal responsibility, hands‑on mentality and confident presence as a technical interface
Business‑fluent German and English (negotiation level)
