About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Central technical point of contact for demanding customers in high-tech future industries
Assess new and complex customer inquiries for technical feasibility and economic viability
Provide technical support from concept and design stages through to series production
Develop cost-effective and technically optimal manufacturing strategies, including make-or-buy decisions
Coordinate technical alignment between Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Research and Development
Assume final technical responsibility for complex products and assemblies
Coordinate internal and external technical interfaces to ensure well-founded decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed education in mechanical engineering, e.g., HTL, FH or TU
Several years of professional experience in mechanical design, product development, or special machine/plant engineering
Hands-on experience in design, manufacturing or joining technology with a solid understanding of tolerances and technical feasibility
Experience in project management or technical leadership of interdisciplinary teams
Strong CAD skills and experience with PDM, PLM or ERP systems
Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style with strong logical thinking
High degree of personal responsibility, hands-on mentality and confident presence as a technical interface
German and English at business/negotiation level
