About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Primary technical point of contact for demanding customers in high‑tech, future‑oriented industries
- Assess new and complex customer inquiries regarding technical feasibility and economic viability
- Provide technical support from the design and concept phase through to series production readiness
- Develop technically and economically optimized manufacturing strategies, including make‑or‑buy decisions
- Manage technical coordination between Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Research, and Development
- Assume final technical responsibility for complex products and assemblies
- Coordinate internal and external technical interfaces to ensure well‑founded decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed education in mechanical engineering (e.g., HTL, FH [University of Applied Sciences], or TU [Technical University])
- Several years of professional experience in design engineering, product development, or special‑purpose machine and plant engineering
- Practical experience in design, manufacturing, or joining technology with a solid understanding of tolerances and technical feasibility
- Experience in project management or technical leadership of interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent CAD skills and experience with PDM, PLM, or ERP systems
- Structured, analytical and solution‑oriented working style with strong logical thinking skills
- High degree of personal responsibility, hands‑on mentality, and confident presence as a technical interface
- Fluent German and English (business/negotiation level)
