Key responsibilities & impact
  • Strategic account development: Manage international medical device manufacturers and market authorization holders long-term and continuously grow existing partnerships.
  • Business development: Acquire new MedTech OEMs and market authorization holders as long-term development partners.
  • Market development: Identify new projects at medical device manufacturers and unlock potential for high-precision components and assemblies.
  • Negotiation: Confidently negotiate prices, terms and delivery models with international business partners.
  • Project coordination: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance and project management to successfully transition development projects into series production.
  • Project costing: Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to develop technically and economically optimal solutions for customer-specific precision components.
  • Project management: Support complex customer projects from inquiry through prototypes and pre-series to successful series production.
  • Escalation management: Professionally resolve challenges and complaints to secure long-term customer relationships.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Technical education: A completed technical education at HTL, university studies or equivalent provides the professional foundation.
  • MedTech experience: Several years of professional experience in the medical technology environment, ideally in sales or product development for OEMs.
  • Manufacturing expertise: Understanding of high-precision mechanical manufacturing, technical feasibility and the requirements for regulated medical devices.
  • Sales experience: Demonstrable success in expanding existing customer relationships and targeted new customer acquisition.
  • System competence: Confident and routine use of ERP systems and MS Office.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Knowledge of quality requirements in medical technology, ideally with experience related to ISO 13485, documentation and traceability.
  • Communication skills: A confident presence at decision-maker level and persuasive communication in an international environment are among your strengths.
  • Industry contacts: An existing network with medical device manufacturers or market authorization holders is an advantage.
