About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Central technical point of contact for demanding customers in high-tech, future-oriented industries.
Evaluate new and complex customer enquiries for technical feasibility and economic viability.
Provide technical support from the design and concept phase through to series production.
Develop manufacturing strategies that are optimal technically and economically, including make-or-buy decisions.
Coordinate technical alignment between Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Research and Development.
Assume final technical responsibility for complex products and assemblies.
Coordinate internal and external technical interfaces to ensure well-founded decisions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed education in mechanical engineering, e.g. HTL, University of Applied Sciences (FH) or Technical University (TU).
Several years of professional experience in design engineering, product development, or special machine/plant engineering.
Practical experience in design, manufacturing or joining technology with a solid understanding of tolerances and technical manufacturability.
Experience in project management or technical leadership of interdisciplinary teams.
Strong CAD skills and experience with PDM, PLM or ERP systems.
Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working approach with pronounced logical thinking.
High personal accountability, hands-on mentality and confident presence as a technical interface.
German and English at business-fluent (negotiation) level.
