About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and develop existing key accounts and build long-term partnerships.
  • Identify revenue potential within existing customer relationships and sustainably expand the customer portfolio.
  • Identify new project opportunities with existing customers and support them through to successful completion.
  • Calculate and prepare technically and commercially sound proposals.
  • Serve as the primary contact for technical and commercial customer inquiries.
  • Coordinate customer requirements with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Quality.
  • Support the handling of customer complaints together with internal departments.
  • Actively contribute to sales planning, forecasts, and budgeting processes.
  • Analyze market movements, identify relevant trends, and conduct regular customer meetings in the DACH region.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Metal Technology, Mechatronics, Nanotechnology, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in technical sales or Key Account Management.
  • Ability to understand and assess complex customer requirements and translate them into appropriate solutions.
  • Experience in proposal costing and in a project-oriented B2B environment.
  • Ideally, experience in semiconductors, coating, medical technology, or precision manufacturing.
  • Confident demeanor and strong negotiation skills in an international customer environment.
  • Business-fluent German and English.
  • Willingness to attend regular customer meetings in the DACH region to a moderate extent.
