About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Central technical contact for demanding customers in high‑tech, future-oriented industries.
- Evaluate new and complex customer inquiries regarding technical feasibility and economic viability.
- Provide technical support from the design and concept phase through to production readiness.
- Develop economically and technically optimal manufacturing strategies, including make‑or‑buy decisions.
- Coordinate technical alignment between Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Research and Development.
- Take final technical responsibility for complex products and assemblies.
- Coordinate internal and external technical interfaces to ensure well-founded decision-making.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed education in mechanical engineering, e.g. HTL, FH or TU (technical college/university).
- Several years of professional experience in design engineering, product development or special machine and plant engineering.
- Practical experience in design, manufacturing or joining technologies with a solid understanding of tolerances and technical feasibility.
- Experience in project management or technical leadership of interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong CAD skills and experience with PDM, PLM or ERP systems.
- Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style with pronounced logical reasoning.
- High level of personal responsibility, hands-on mentality and confident presence as a technical interface.
- German and English at business/negotiation level.
