About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Central technical contact for demanding customers in high-tech future industries.
- Evaluate new and complex customer inquiries for technical feasibility and economic viability.
- Provide technical support from concept and design phases through to series production readiness.
- Develop manufacturing strategies that are technically and economically optimal, including make-or-buy decisions.
- Coordinate technical alignment between Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Research and Development.
- Assume final technical responsibility for complex products and assemblies.
- Coordinate internal and external technical interfaces to ensure well-founded decisions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed education in mechanical engineering, e.g., HTL, University of Applied Sciences (FH) or Technical University (TU).
- Several years of professional experience in design engineering, product development, or in special-purpose machinery and plant engineering.
- Practical experience in design, manufacturing or joining technology with a solid understanding of tolerances and technical feasibility.
- Experience in project management or technical leadership of interdisciplinary teams.
- Very good CAD skills and experience with PDM, PLM or ERP systems.
- Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style with strong logical thinking ability.
- High level of personal responsibility, hands-on mentality and confident presence as a technical interface.
- German and English at business-fluent level.
