About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Primary technical point of contact for demanding customers in high‑tech, future‑oriented industries.
- Assessment of new and complex customer inquiries regarding technical feasibility and economic viability.
- Technical support from the design and concept phase through to series production readiness.
- Development of technically and economically optimal manufacturing strategies, including make‑or‑buy decisions.
- Managing technical coordination between Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Research and Development (R&D).
- Assuming final technical responsibility for complex products and assemblies.
- Coordination of internal and external technical interfaces to ensure well‑founded decisions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed education in mechanical engineering (e.g., HTL, University of Applied Sciences / FH or Technical University / TU).
- Several years of professional experience in design engineering, product development or in special-purpose machine or plant engineering.
- Practical experience in design, manufacturing or joining technologies with a solid understanding of tolerances and technical feasibility.
- Experience in project management or in the technical leadership of interdisciplinary teams.
- Very good CAD skills and experience with PDM, PLM or ERP systems.
- Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style with strong logical reasoning.
- High level of personal responsibility, hands-on mentality and confident presence as a technical interface.
- Fluent German and English at a business/negotiation level.
