About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Strategic customer management: Support and development of existing key accounts and building long-term partnerships.
  • Portfolio development: Identify revenue potential within existing customer relationships and sustainably expand the customer portfolio.
  • Project acquisition: Identify new project opportunities with existing customers and support them through to successful completion.
  • Quotation calculation: Prepare technically and commercially sound cost calculations and proposals.
  • Customer consulting: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical and commercial customer inquiries.
  • Interface management: Coordinate customer requirements with engineering, production, purchasing, and quality.
  • Complaint handling: Support the handling of complaints together with internal departments.
  • Forecast planning: Actively contribute to sales planning, forecasts, and budgeting processes.
  • Market analysis: Analyze market movements, identify relevant trends, and conduct regular customer meetings in the DACH region.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed training or degree in mechanical engineering, metal technology, mechatronics, nanotechnology, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in technical sales or key account management.
  • Ability to understand, assess, and translate complex customer requirements into suitable solution approaches.
  • Experience in quotation calculation and in a project-oriented B2B environment.
  • Ideally experience in semiconductors, coatings, medical technology, or precision manufacturing.
  • Confident demeanor and strong negotiation skills in an international customer environment.
  • Fluent in German and English (business proficiency).
  • Willingness to attend regular customer meetings in the DACH region on a moderate basis.
