About the role

  • Development of firmware for ARM-based platforms (e.g., Nordic nRF, STM32) — from concept to production readiness
  • Integration of communication stacks (DECT NR+, LTE-M/NB-IoT, CAN, Ethernet, PROFINET) for industrial applications
  • Driver development and hardware integration in close coordination with the hardware team
  • Development on RTOS (e.g., Zephyr, FreeRTOS) or bare-metal as well as Embedded Linux services for gateways
  • Ensuring code quality through reviews, CI/CD and automated tests
  • Implementing secure OTA update mechanisms for fielded products
  • Contributing to architecture decisions and mentoring junior developers

Requirements

  • At least 6–7 years of embedded development experience in C (C++ a plus)
  • Broad project background, ideally across multiple embedded environments
  • Practical experience with Git, CMake/Make, Continuous Integration and code reviews
  • Experience with RTOS or bare-metal, solid Linux fundamentals
  • Strong knowledge of communication protocols (CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet, PROFINET) and bus/frame analysis
  • Structured, reliable working style and very good German and English language skills
  • Nice-to-haves: experience with Embedded Linux userland for gateways, scripting skills (Python, Bash) for tooling or tests, practical experience with wireless IoT/industrial technologies (DECT NR+, LTE-M/NB-IoT)
