About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Medical Officer is a vital member of the Executive Leadership team.
- Serve as the senior executive for all clinical and medical-related matters.
- Champion the needs of end-users, including clinicians, nurses, and administrative staff.
- Drive clinical innovation, oversee patient safety, and advance OP's overarching business strategy.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership team to align clinical solutions with organizational goals.
- Monitor healthcare industry trends and provide actionable competitive intelligence.
- Identify macro-level strategic growth areas.
- Serve as a thought leader in pediatric healthcare and advocate for OP at industry events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with national pediatric organizations and industry leaders.
- Lead and engage with the OP Clinical Advisory Board.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of a Pediatric Residency
- A minimum of 10 years of independent clinical pediatric practice experience
- Proven track record in a leadership role within a healthcare organization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and budget management skills
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit geared toward anticipating market needs and driving profitable growth for OP.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with clinical research and medical innovation.
- Knowledge of healthcare technology and electronic medical records.
- Deep understanding of clinician workflow and usability principles.
- Experience with healthcare AI technologies and clinical informatics.
- Commitment to ethical medical practice and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to represent the organization at industry events and conferences, including public speaking engagements.
