About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician reviews prescription orders for completeness and data enters prescription information into the pharmacy management system in preparation for pharmacist verification.
- The incumbent obtains missing patient and/or prescriber demographic information when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members in the hub to create and maintain efficient workflow to meet schedules and quality requirements.
- Receive inbound calls from patients or prescribers and assist with information regarding prescription status.
- Contact healthcare provider offices by phone or fax to obtain missing patient and/or prescriber demographic information when necessary.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be at least 17 years old and be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program as a PY1 student or higher.
- Must be registered with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern.
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and state and federal rules and regulations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Teams, along with basic computer skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are required.
- Ability to navigate various technology systems and online resources.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with team members across departments.
