About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with enterprise clients to understand business objectives, application portfolios, and technology strategies
Design and architect cloud solutions leveraging Azure, AWS, GCP, hybrid cloud, and cloud-native technologies
Lead strategic discovery sessions and solution workshops with executive and technical stakeholders
Develop cloud modernization roadmaps aligned with business outcomes
Guide clients through large-scale cloud migrations, application modernization, DevOps adoption, and infrastructure transformation initiatives
Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and optimized for long-term success
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior IT leaders and decision-makers
Support pre-sales engagements, solution positioning, and RFP responses
Mentor architects and contribute to the growth of Connection's Cloud Center of Excellence
Stay current on emerging cloud technologies, market trends, and industry best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, enterprise infrastructure, application modernization, or related technical consulting roles
Current cloud certifications in Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud
Proven success leading complex cloud transformation and migration projects
Extensive experience in customer-facing, consultative technology roles
Ability to engage and influence senior IT executives and business leaders
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, automation, and governance
Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures
Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Experience in cloud security and governance, DevOps and CI/CD automation, Kubernetes and container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code, serverless computing, API management, cloud-native application development, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, data and AI platforms, enterprise networking, and cloud connectivity highly valued
Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Chef, or Puppet is a plus
