About the role
- Provides direct care to patients with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team to implement and coordinate care.
- Participates in assigned staff development and research activities.
- Conducts clinical assessments and develops intervention/treatment plans.
- Partners with patients and families to define and implement physical therapy interventions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy required. Doctoral Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pediatric therapy strongly preferred.
- Current State of Connecticut Physical Therapist License required or Temporary State of Connecticut License with the oversight of Licensed Physical Therapist.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/ CPR in adult, child and infant within first six months of hire.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology.
- Beginning to intermediate skill in Microsoft Office. Bilingual preferred.
- Ability to perform standardized clinical assessments and a range of physical therapy techniques.
