About the role

  • The Senior Network Engineer is fully experienced with an exceptional skill set responsible for the architecture, design and support of the enterprise network infrastructure.
  • The individual successfully works with a team of network engineers and vendors while also collaborating with cybersecurity and other IT team members on testing, integration, and deployment of network systems.
  • The individual serves as a key contributor and advisor to less seasoned engineers and analysts and is a liaison to the Lead Network Engineer.
  • Additionally, the Senior Network Engineer manages the resources under their area of responsibility in order to ensure that the necessary support of new systems is available.
  • Further, the position may include being involved in some limited leadership activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable.
  • Seven (7) Years minimum in-depth experience performing network engineering (hardware and software), network design, planning and implementing WLANs, LANs, and WANs using the latest technology.
  • Three (3) years of experience in related planning, analysis, configuration, installation, management and coordination work.
  • Ability to handle basic network administration tasks to fulfill backup role if needed.
  • Demonstrated experience working well with customers of varying levels of technical expertise in high pressure situations and complex environments.
