About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide support for communications programs and projects across the Department
Write content for a variety of communications channels, encompassing a range of formats including print, digital, and video
Provide administrative and logistical support to team initiatives
Support the Head of Communications and the Communications Leadership Team as required
Provide backup support for publishing across all channels
Assist with initiatives designed to drive social media amplification amongst staff and members
Collaborate with and provide communications support to a team of Strategic Communications Partners and Communications Leads on key portfolios and strategic initiatives across Servus

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree or diploma in communications, public relations or a related field
2-4 years of communications experience
Strong writing skills are preferred
Certification: IABC or CPRS membership is considered an asset
Remote first
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet business needs, support special projects or contribute to crisis or issues management
Travel within Alberta, and occasional in-office attendance in Edmonton or Calgary may be required
