About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct in person comprehensive initial and reassessment evaluations for individuals referred for ABA services
- Administer, score, and interpret standardized assessment tools (adaptive behavior, skill-based assessments, FBAs, and more)
- Conduct caregiver, educator, and stakeholder interviews to gather clinical context
- Observe clients across home, school, clinic, and community environments
- Synthesize data into clear, clinically sound treatment recommendations
- Prepare detailed assessment reports aligned with payer, regulatory, and organizational requirements
- Determine medical necessity and recommend appropriate service levels and goals
- Collaborate with intake and authorization teams to support insurance approvals
- Provide consultation to clinical leadership regarding assessment findings
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current BCBA certification in good standing
- Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
- Active licensure
- 3+ years of ABA experience, including behavioral assessments
- Strong clinical writing and documentation skills
- Knowledge of insurance authorization and medical necessity criteria
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (travel required for in person assessments)
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass required background checks
