About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join a team modernising a core solution, moving from a legacy environment to a cloud first architecture on Azure.
- Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines
- Deliver infrastructure as code
- Enable developers to deploy and operate systems more efficiently and reliably.
- Work closely with engineering teams on automation, infrastructure, and deployment processes.
- Shape standards, tooling, and ways of working for DevOps foundations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform essential)
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS also considered)
- Experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Scripting or coding experience (Python, PowerShell or similar)
- Understanding of security, compliance, and deployment practices
- Comfortable working across infrastructure and development teams
- Experience supporting .NET or web based applications (desirable)
- Exposure to hybrid or enterprise environments (cloud and on-prem) (desirable)
- Experience with release strategies such as blue green or canary deployments (desirable)
- Exposure to financial services or data platforms (desirable)
- Experience with modern cloud architecture patterns (desirable)
