About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, evolve, and maintain the core services of Conexa AI.
Design and implement generative and agentic AI features in production.
Build and evolve multi-stack distributed systems (Node.js, Python, Java).
Work on integrations between microservices, legacy systems, and AI platforms.
Work with message queues and event-driven architectures for asynchronous processing.
Model, optimize, and maintain relational, non-relational, and vector databases.
Contribute to the product front end on an occasional basis.
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues in multi-tenant production environments.
Ensure code quality through automated tests and agent quality assessments.
Identify and propose new applications of generative/agentic AI within the Conexa ecosystem.
Rapidly prototype AI feature hypotheses before committing to full implementation.
Have an active voice in defining where and how AI should be applied on the team roadmap.
Bring state-of-the-art AI knowledge to the team and evaluate pragmatic adoption.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience with Node.js and NestJS, with mastery of strict TypeScript and microservices architectures.
Strong experience with Java and Spring (Boot, Data, Security).
Experience with Python (FastAPI or equivalent) applied to the development of services and APIs — especially in the context of generative AI.
Hands-on experience building AI agents, RAG pipelines, and integrations with LLMs in production.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration and automation tools (n8n or equivalents).
Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Experience with non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis) and event-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, BullMQ).
Familiarity with vector databases and the principles of embeddings/semantic search.
Experience with API design and versioning for RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
Ability to read and evolve front-end code in React/TypeScript when necessary.
Regular and advanced use of agentic AI tools during development.
Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Analytical, proactive profile with strong ownership.
Good communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions.
