About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop new features and evolve existing systems with a focus on quality, scalability, and maintainability.
Have strong knowledge of software architecture and the ability to propose structural improvements to the system.
Implement integrations between internal and external services (APIs, microservices, distributed systems).
Write clean, testable, and efficient code, following engineering best practices and area-defined standards.
Create and run automated and unit tests to ensure delivery quality.
Work closely with product, QA, front-end, and data teams to ensure end-to-end delivery.
Actively participate in code reviews, contributing to collective learning and maintaining technical standards.
Monitor and optimize application performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
Document flows, architectures, and adopted practices to strengthen knowledge sharing.
Collaborate in agile ceremonies (plannings, refinements, retrospectives) with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Mentor junior and mid-level developers.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience in back-end development with Node.js and Java.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
Experience with large volumes of data and complex/heavy queries.
Knowledge of modular service architectures and RESTful APIs.
Experience with automated testing, version control (Git), and CI/CD.
Previous work in digital product teams and agile methodologies.
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, with good communication with technical and business stakeholders.
Experience in healthtechs or companies with high technical complexity (plus).
Experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, SQS, Elastic Beanstalk) (plus).
Previous experience developing solutions using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Codex, etc.) (plus).
Experience in observability, monitoring, and SRE best practices (plus).
Previous experience in high-scale, high-data-volume environments (plus).
